(April 6, 2001) -- Technology e-tailer Egghead.com said today that it was reducing its workforce by 29%. The move affects a total of 178 workers, although some had part-time or contract status with the Menlo Park, Calif.-based company. Egghead, which at one point operated bricks-and-mortar stores, said that it would also focus more intently on the business-to-business market, particularly small- to medium-size businesses. -- Catharine P.
