Published on .

Peter Eldredge, the one-time publisher of Newsweek, has resigned as VP-sales at Bertlesmann Music Group Direct. Reached at his home Monday afternoon, he declined to disclose the identity of his next employer, but said it will be in the publishing world.

"I'm starting with a new company," he said. "I won't be a publisher, but it will be related to publishing." He said an announcement should be out by Tuesday.
