Jr. chomps into new campaign
CKE Restaurants' Carl's Jr. chain today overhauls its image yet again with a campaign bearing the tagline, "If it doesn't get all over the place, it doesn't belong in your face." Conspicuously free of Happy Star imagery or any reference to founder Carl Karcher, the ads from Mendelsohn/Zien, Santa Monica, show customers enjoying big, juicy burgers. Total year spending for the account is $29 million. Mendelsohn won the work from Grey Advertising, Los Angeles, in February.
