Emirates Airlines reshuffles senior management

DUBAI--Emirates Airlines has announced a sweeping shakeup of its senior management, with transfers and reshuffles taking place in East Asia, Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

The airline has tapped Mohammed Shareef Raheem to be its general manager for Britain and Ireland. Mr. Raheem, a nine-year company veteran, previously managed Emirates' Pakistan office. The company's general manager for Egypt, Abdulla Nasser Abdullah, takes his place.

Meanwhile, Emirates' previous U.K. general manager, Nabil Sultan, will head its India and Nepal regional offices.

In Emirates' home base of Dubai, United Arab Emirates Manager Hamad Obaidallah is exanding his responsibilities to include overseeing the airline's operations in Kuwait, Bahrain, Muscat and Doha.

Other management moves are also taking place in Bahrain, Oman, Libya, Saudi Arabia and Yemen.
