DETROIT (AdAge.com) -- General Motors Corp.'s Pontiac Division said today it is delaying the launch of its new brand campaign by a week.

Pontiac had planned to launch the new divisional ads Sept. 16 during CBS' broadcast of the Emmy awards. That broadcast has been postponed.

A spokeswoman at the automaker said the division's first ad campaign in a few years will probably break Sept. 23.

Bcom3 Group's D'Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles, Troy, Mich., handles the $280 million account.
