Enquirer faces suit

The U.S. Supreme Court Monday refused an appeal from the National Enquirer to shield it from an invasion-of-privacy suit by the mother of actor Eddie Murphy's illegitimate son. The court let stand a California appellate court ruling that a jury should decide if the Enquirer's story of Mr. Murphy's son and the financial arrangements for his care was "newsworthy" under state law.
