'Entertainment Weekly' promotes covers on Web

Published on .

Entertainment Weekly, which the week of July 31 publishes four versions featuring different covers, is taking the twist to its Web site by letting ew.com visitors see all of them. The covers are photographs of different members of rockband Phish. The multiple covers are the first since the magazine's 1995 commemorative issue remembering the Grateful Dead's Jerry Garcia. The four individual pictures came in lieu of a group photo. The magazine plans to run a sweepstakes from Aug. 1 to Sept. 4 on its site; the winner will receive signed posters of the multiple covers.
