Entrepeneur, which maintains a presence on CompuServe, Microsoft Network, and the AT&T Business Network will launch a Web site this fall and plans to implement a subscription model for premium content such as a daily edition of business news, a database of at least 3,000 articles and other special features for the small office, home office market.

The expected price range for premium content? Not much more than the newsstand cost of a monthly magazine, according to Chuck Fuller, director-new media for Entrepeneur Magazine Group. "We're not out to gouge the user," he said. The brand is currently researching monthly rates for premium content in the $1.95 to $4.95 range. Ad rates, not yet finalized, will be CPM-based.

GMAC/Ford and Office Depot are expected to be among the marketers creating sites for the Entrepeneur market, according to Lee Jones, VP-publisher, Entrepeneur Magazine Group, New York. With J. Walter Thompson, Detroit, Ford will create a site where small offices can apply for credit online and run programs to evaluate purchase versus lease options. Office Depot is expected to create an area for users to simulate how different office furniture and supplies would fit into an office's space.
