Levi Strauss & Co. reports good results for its Original Spin program, offering customized jeans for men and women through Original Levi's retail stores and a few department stores. "We're pretty pleased with the success of the program," said Janie Ligon, VP-global direct to consumer for the 145-year-old jeans marketer. Ms. Ligon said volume in locations that carry the Original Spin jeans has doubled and, in some cases, tripled. However, Levi Strauss has no immediate plans for a national rollout in other retail locations. Original Spin debuted last August.
Limited Too publishes its first catalog this fall. Scott M. Bracale joined Limited Too as VP-general manager, catalog, to lead the effort. Mr. Bracale was previously VP-operations and logistics for Bass Pro Shops. The $322 million division of The Limited Inc. previously marketed preteen girls apparel only through its retail stores.
