ESPN, as expected, has reached an agreement to acquire Classic Sports Network, which offers archival and original programming from all the major sports leagues. CSN is currently in 10 million cable and satellite homes. Terms weren't disclosed, but ESPN parent Walt Disney Co. reportedly will pay $175 million. Pending approvals, the transaction wil be finalized in two months. Separately, ESPN named Lee Ann Daly VP-advertising and program marketing. She will report to Judy Fearing, senior VP-consumer marketing. Ms. Daly had been VP-general manager, global new communications, Ammirati Puris Lintas, New York.
