Esquire to enter S. Korea, Thailand

Esquire said it will begin publishing monthly editions in South Korea and Thailand in joint ventures with local companies. The South Korean edition is in partnership with Seoul-based Kaya Media Corp and hit newsstands on Wednesday. It carries 125 ad pages and a circulation of 100,000. The Thai edition, in partnership with Bangkok-based May Media International Co., goes on sale Oct. 5 with a circulation of 50,000. Hearst Magazines already publishes overseas editions of Esquire in Japan, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.
