Estee Lauder buys Bobbi Brown

Estee Lauder Cos. acquired Bobbi Brown Professional Cosmetics in a move to develop Bobbi Brown's retail line, Essentials, worldwide. Bobbi Brown, started five years ago, will continue to operate independently, but Estee Lauder will assume responsibility for building the Bobbi Brown Essentials line internationally. Financial terms of the deal were not released. Estee Lauder already has minority ownership in MAC Cosmetics, a Toronto company.
