(May 31, 2001) -- Havas Advertising's Euro RSCG Worldwide, New York, has acquired WhyNet, an interactive agency in Argentina.

By acquiring a majority share of the agency, the unit will become part of Euro RSCG's interactive division, Euro RSCG Interaction, and will be renamed WhyNet Euro RSCG Interaction.

WhyNet was founded in 1998 and relaunched in April 2000 under its present CEO, Gustavo Razzetti, who increased its billings by 200% compared to 1999. The agency offers business consulting, Web development and design, technology solutions, Web maintenance and online marketing for clients such as MasterCard, Moyicom BellSouth, Edesur, 20th Century Fox and CNAInsurance. -- Adrienne Mand
