EUROPEAN FINANCIAL MARKETS CONTINUE SLIDE

NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- U.S. financial markets were closed again today due to the attack on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, but overseas financial markets continued to feel the effects.

In London, shares of WPP Group closed down 5.72% at 5.57 pounds sterling, or $8.18, and Cordiant Communications Group was down 5.78 % to close at 1.39 pounds, or $2.04. In Paris markets, Publicis Groupe was down 4.29% to close at 20.10 Euro, or $18.22, and Havas Advertising was down 11.94% to close at 7.60 Euro, or $6.89.
