European plant for Pringles

Published on .

Procter & Gamble today opened the first foreign production plant for its chips brand Pringles. "Until now the only factory making Pringles was in Jackson, Tenn.," says a P&G spokesman. "This new production facility [outside Brussels] is a sign of the brand's export success." Pringles, launched in the U.S. in 1968, was not exported until four years ago.
