Fox/1-800-COLLECT Virtual Reality Tour is turning on with sponsors for its second road trip visiting 40 cities between Jan. 1 and Sept. 30. The 50-foot tractor trailer offers consumers free thrill-inducing virtual reality rides, sample videos from Fox Broadcasting and Twentieth Century Fox Film Corp., and free phone calls courtesy of title sponsor 1-800-COLLECT. U.S. Equestrian Team is inviting sponsors to saddle up for the 1996 Show Jumping selection series for Team USA at the '96 Olympics in Atlanta. Events begin in April at the Atlanta Equestrian facility and conclude in June with final team selection. Title sponsorship for the nationally televised event costs $500,000 and includes in-event signage, expo marketing and product sampling; participation is also available at lower levels. L.A. Fiesta Broadway, a Hispanic festival slated for April 28 in downtown Los Angeles, is accepting sponsors for its seventh annual Cinco de Mayo holiday event expected to attract up to 1 million people. Costs range from $25,000 to $250,000; already participating are AT&T; McDonald's Corp.; Anheuser-Busch; Sears, Roebuck & Co.; Target Stores; and Univision. World Equestrian Games Ireland '98 is courting sponsors for its third competition, set for August 1998. The games, held every four years, are expected to attract 1,000 horses and teams from 50 countries to the Punchestown Racecourse in County Kildare. New York Yankees are inviting sponsors to back their new baseball and entertainment complex opening March 1 in Tampa, Fla. The team hopes to draw more than 400,000 people annually to Yankees spring training games, other sports tournaments and concerts. National In-Line Skate Series seeks sponsors for its third annual cross-country tour visiting 10 major cities in June through August, searching for the nation's most aggressive male and female in-line skaters.
