Cadbury Beverages' 7UP signed as the official soft-drink sponsor of the 1996-97 Sprint Bumps & Jumps stunt skiing series. The series consists of three two-day events and a championship in March.

McDonald's Corp. has launched a Happy Meal promotion offering the fast-food giant's largest number of premiums ever, tied to Walt Disney Co.'s "101 Dalmatians." The six-week promotion includes 101 toy premiums, 20 of which will rotate into the mix each week. Other premiums tied to the movie include four snow domes, at $1.99 with a Deluxe sandwich purchase.

General Motors Corp.'s Cadillac will announce details of a major event marketing initiative next month in New York. Cadillac confirmed it is looking at sponsoring gardening shows around the U.S. but added no deals have been signed and it's also considering other, unidentified events.

Nike announced specific new initiatives in the five-year, $5 million P.L.A.Y. (Participate in the Lives of America's Youth) commitment to kids sports announced earlier with Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Specific programs to be developed include: Nike University, Girls Only Sports, Nike Games, P.L.A.Y. Daily, Swoosh Clubs and Nike Sports Leadership Camps.
