Castrol North America recently announced a promotion featuring NBA star David Robinson, who will appear on point-of-purchase materials beginning this month. The promotion touts Castrol's "Drive Hard to the NBA Finals" sweepstakes, with one grand prize of an expenses-paid trip for two to one game of the 1998 or 1999 NBA finals. The promotion was handled in-house.

Jazzercise has teamed up with the Quaker Oats Co. for a promotional tie-in, offering on-pack discounts for two free Jazzercise exercise classes on 17 million specially marked packages of Quaker rice cakes. The promotion was handled in-house.

Walt Disney World U.S. Men's Clay Court Championships has signed the Colombian Coffee Federation as a presenting sponsor of the ATP Tour event held at Walt Disney World April 20-26. The deal, handled in-house, extends through 2002. Separately, Pepsi-Cola Co.'s All Sport Body Quencher has signed as presenting sponsor of the Cartoon Network Smash Tennis tour, a traveling event designed to introduce kids to tennis. The grass-roots event, backed by the ATP and the Tennis Industry Association, hits the road this month and visits 18 cities through mid-July.
