Miller Brewing Co. canceled its planned Jamizon concert tour for Miller Lite and the "Polar Beach Party" for Molson Ice, said Jack Rooney, VP-marketing. The Jamizon tour, targeting African-Americans, is out because the changing lineup of performers made it difficult to market against. The beach party, which was to feature alternative rock band concerts in the far north of Canada, is being canceled because Molson Ice no longer is being pitched as an edgy brew.

NBC Entertainment will stage a "World of Merlin" festival April 22 to 24 at its corporate headquarters, 30 Rockefeller Plaza in New York, to promote the "Merlin" miniseries debuting April 26. Sponsors include Chrysler Corp., Eastman Kodak Co., Lucent Technologies, Prudential Insurance Co. of America and Wizards of the Coast. Geronimo Promotional Marketing, Milwaukee, handles.

Dunkin' Donuts is targeting consumers at health clubs this spring in a sampling promotion for its bagels and cream cheese. The promotion will reach dozens of health clubs within the International Health, Racquet & Sportsclub Association. MillHouse McCable, Salem, Mass., and Field Marketing, Chicago, are coordinating.
