Samsung North America this month starts an integrated promotion with Ticketmaster centering on microwave ovens. The effort includes a $10 discount on event tickets with the purchase of a Samsung microwave, a sweepstakes to win an oven, plus promotions via telephone, radio commercials and Ticketmaster's Web site (www.ticketmaster.

Wendy's International next February begins a six-week kids promotion themed around the Public Broadcasting Service animated series "Adventures From the Book of Virtues." A licensing agreement with Hamilton Projects, New York, includes six kids premiums and tray liners. The promotion will be supported at the point of purchase and via network and spot TV. Bates USA, New York, is Wendy's agency of record; Impact Communications, Chicago, handles promotions.
