Silicon Graphics, Mountain View, Calif., and Time teamed up to sponsor two high-tech touring exhibits called "The Robot Zoo." The exhibits, using Silicon Graphics products and the resources of the Time Education Program, opened late last month at Space Center Houston and the Milwaukee County Zoo. Additional stops are planned in Philadelphia, Chicago, Minnea-polis and San Diego.
ESPN plans an "ESPN/NFL Grand Tour" promotion to spotlight its National Football League programming. The effort also includes a "Press Pass" consumer sweepstakes and "ESPN/NFL Survivor" local advertiser incentive. Grand prize is an expenses-paid trip for two to all nine NFL games to be telecast on ESPN this fall; local cable affiliates back the promotion, created in-house.
