National Black Theater Festival, Winston-Salem, N.C., is auditioning sponsors for its 1997 season featuring presentations by African-American artists and theater companies. Great Trans-Koolau Trek, Honolulu, is rounding up sponsors for its footrace on Hawaii's H-3 freeway, slated for immediately before the state's newest federal interstate opens to vehicles in May 1997. The ESPN-televised event is expected to attract more than 100,000 participants. Multiple sponsorship options are available at costs ranging from $25,000 to almost $1 million. Pumpkin Patch, Vacaville, Calif., is gathering sponsors for the West Coast's largest fall festival benefiting charities.
