National Parents' Day wants to rally sponsors for its second annual event taking place across the U.S. July 27 and 28, kicking off the "Parents of the Year" contest, to be awarded in October via national satellite broadcast. Professional CueSports Association, Dallas, is targeting first-time sponsors for the new professional billiards-playing group, launching its 1996 tour next month. Black Expo Chicago is lining up sponsors for its seventh annual educational and entertainment event scheduled for July 5 to 7 at McCormick Place. 1996 International Acapulco Cliff Diving Championship Competition has sponsorship positions available for its series of events Nov. 13 to 18. Featuring teams from the U.S., China, Russia, Germany, Australia, Italy and Canada, sponsorship is offered at five venues and five events with more than 8,000 spectators are expected. New Jersey Black Widows, the state's only all-women roller hockey team, seeks sponsors for its third season beginning this spring, competing against men's and women's roller hockey teams sanctioned by the National In-Line Hockey Association. Colorado Barbecue Challenge is cooking up sponsorships for its third annual event in Frisco, Colo., recently sanctioned by the Kansas City (Mo.) Barbecue Society.
