Excite adds advertisers, content

Excite on Wednesday added content to its various channels from providers including AOL Greenhouse Networks, CNET, Match.Com, Tribune Media Services, Data Broadcasting Corp., Forum One, CompanyLink, WeatherLabs and LiveWorld Productions. Excite's entertainment channel will carry Greenhouse brands Hecklers Online, The Knot and Thrive. Other channels that will carry additional content include the business & investing channel, people & chat channel, computers & Internet channel and its personalized channel called My Channel.

In related news, Excite also signed charter advertisers for its channels including American Honda Motor Co.'s Acura, Charles Schwab, Microsoft Corp., American Century Investments and Sprint Business.
