Excite expands Games Channel

Published on .

Excite bolstered its Games Channel Aug. 24 with multiplayer games, various levels of competition and ongoing tournaments. Total Entertainment Network, mplayer.com, Simutronics, GameStorm and Games.Net, are five of the game content providers signed up for the offering. New features include Total Entertainment Network's proprietary service, which allows users to receive rankings on how they perform in classic games, such as hearts and spades card games. Excite said it will add content such as gaming reviews and software downloads from Games.Net, the IDG Games Network.
