Excite@Home clicks with MyPoints

Excite@Home, Redwood City, Calif., and MyPoints.com, San Francisco, are expected to announce a deal this week to offer MyPoints' incentive loyalty program to Excite portal users. MyPoints, an Internet direct marketing company that went public in August, gives Web users the chance to collect points that can be used to buy goods and services. Separately, MyPoints said it paid $2.4 million to buy Experian's Internet loyalty technology. Experian, a database company owned by U.K.-based Great Universal Stores, is MyPoints' largest shareholder.
