Execs move up at Hershey

In top management changes at Hershey Foods Corp., Hershey, Pa., President-Chief Operating Officer Joseph Viviano was named to the previously vacant post of vice chairman, where he will supervise international business. No successor as president-chief operating officer was named. Mr. Viviano's other responsibilities were shifted to a new group of senior VPs. Hershey Chocolate North America President Michael F. Pasquale, 51, was named Hershey Foods Corp. senior VP-confectionery, grocery and pasta businesses. Hershey Foods VP-Operations Raymond Brace, 54, was named senior VP-operations, and VP-General Counsel/Secretary Robert M. Reese, 49, was named senior VP-public affairs. The changes are effective Jan. 1. Messrs Viviano, Pasquale, Brace and Reese report to Hershey Foods Chairman-CEO Kenneth L. Wolfe. Mr. Wolfe, 59, noted he and Mr. Viviano, 60, are approaching traditional retirement age for Hershey executives.
