EXILE ON SEVENTH BUYS MEDIAPLEX'S AD OPERATIONS

(May 10, 2001) -- Online media buyer Exile on Seventh, San Francisco, has acquired the media operations of Mediaplex, also based in San Francisco. Under the deal, Exile will assume responsibilities for media planning, media buying and ongoing optimization for Mediaplex's clients.

Financial terms were not disclosed, though the deal includes an agreement for Exile to exclusively use Mediaplex's proprietary ad serving technology, MOJO ASP, for its clients' online media campaigns.

Exile on Seventh also has designated Mediaplex as its preferred provider of offline campaign planning, production and financial technologies, using Mediaplex's AdWare tool. -- Adrienne Mand
