Emilio Azcarraga Milmo, chairman of Mexico City-based Grupo Televisa, died of cancer in Miami. He was 66. He led Grupo Televisa, which describes itself as the largest media company in the Spanish-speaking world, as chairman since 1972. In the U.S., the company is part owner of the Spanish-language Univision TV network.

Nike said the first work from new brand agency Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, San Francisco, will support the July launch of its first Niketown in Boston. No word yet as to when Goodby's first national work for Nike will debut.

Miller/Kadanoff, San Francisco, is for sale. The 8-year-old direct marketing shop has billings of $65 million from West Coast technology clients such as Oracle Corp. and Hitachi PC Corp., but and also recently won project work from Levi Strauss & Co.

National Basketball Association is said to be finalizing a sponsorship agreement with Sony Corp. of America in the audio/visual electronics category. The rumored pact would be mostly media driven.
