The 45-member forum, assembled by heavy hitters such as Procter & Gamble Co. and Johnson & Johnson, aims to develop more programs for the 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. time slot for a broad family audience.
Last year, the forum funded script development for WB's Gilmore Girls, which returns for a second season this year. The forum also announced today it has funded development of nine other new family-oriented scripts under consideration by participating networks, which include Walt Disney Co.'s ABC, Viacom's CBS and General Electric's NBC. -- Jack Neff
