FamilyWare unveils new Web ad model

Vancouver-based FamilyWare International on Sept. 1 will launch a new Web advertising model that allows advertisers to place brand-name product icons in virtual "rooms." The new model allows advertisers to showcase their products in cyber-rooms on the FamilyCentral site, such as weather, sports and music. Pop-up animation capabilities will allow users to click on individual product icons to bring up cybercoupons, links to advertisers' home pages or full-screen 15- or 30-second advertising clips with animation and sound.
