FCB Worldwide's Southfield, Mich., office won Best of Show Oct. 19 at the 26th annual Caddy awards show, honoring work from the Detroit area's ad agencies. The top award was for FCB's TV spot for DaimlerChrysler Corp. showing the Creator's hand placing a Jeep on a mountaintop. FCB got a total of 34 awards, 13 of them golds. FCB won Best of Show last year too, also for a Jeep commercial. Campbell-Ewald, Warren, got 27 awards, including seven golds. The agency's work for General Motors Corp.'s OnStar was the most honored of the show, getting two golds, five silvers and two bronzes. J. Walter Thompson USA, Detroit, went home with 19 awards, six of them golds. Doner, Southfield, won 10 awards, including one gold. Actor Tom Sharp was to again have been master of ceremonies but reneged, citing the TV commercial actors strike.
