FCB clears path for Daimler staffers to join BBDO

Published on .

True North Communications this afternoon said it will allow the 300 employees of FCB Worldwide, Southfield, Mich., who work on DaimlerChrysler to talk with BBDO Worldwide about joining BBDO's new PentaMark Worldwide. PentaMark in November won the $2.4 billion consolidated global DaimlerChrysler account, formerly split between FCB and BBDO. True North said it is close to resolving a contract dispute to allow Mike Vogel, president-CEO of FCB's Southfield office, to take the top post at PentaMark. The Southfield office will remain open to handle non-Chrysler work.

"It's up to Chrysler and PentaMark for what people they want to move over," said a True North spokeswoman. "We think its ultimately the right thing to do for our employees."
