Meanwhile, rival online group purchase site Letsbuyit.com appointted CLM/ BBDO to handle its estimated $5 million business. Letsbuyit.com offers Web shoppers low-price volume purchases of some 250 products in categories ranging from computers and software to telecommunications equipment and sporting goods.
Letsbuyit.com's forthcoming campaign will include print, outdoor and maybe TV, pending authorization by CSA, France's top audio-visual regulator, which has proposed a reform that would allow retail distribution companies to run TV campaigns.
Operating in 14 European markets, Letsbuyit.com has 350,000 users.
