FCB quits Sizzler account

Foote, Cone & Belding, Los Angeles, resigned its Sizzler Restaurants account and called the parting "amicable." FCB said the agency is devoting more time to its $18 million business with Flagstar Corp.'s Coco's and Carrow's family dining restaurants. FCB held the Sizzler account since July 1995.Sizzler, which has been in Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection since June 1996, said it will begin a search for a new agency immediately. It spent $8.8 million on advertising the first nine months of 1996, according to Competitive Media Reporting.
