FCB Wilkens, Hamburg, said it will resign the Volvo business in Germany, Austria and Switzerland by mid-2000 as a result of a conflict of interest following the merger of Foote, Cone & Belding's and Bozell's international networks. The German account alone was worth $28 million. Borsch Stengel Korner Bozell, Frankfurt, handles Daimler-Chrysler, including the Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Plymouth brands. Both agencies continue to act independently at present. Chrysler's German ad spending came to $25 million last year.
