FCC opens way for gambling ads

The Federal Communications Commission said it would no longer enforce anti-gambling advertising restrictions on TV and radio stations. The decision had been expected after an federal appeals court this year struck down the FCC's rules in Western states saying the patchwork of federal laws and rules controlling gaming on Indian reservations and elsewhere made little sense and would not discourage gambling.
