FDA clears Bayer's ketoprofen offering

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration on Monday cleared Bayer Corp. Consumer Care Division's application to market a ketoprofen-based pain reliever, Actron, as an over-the-counter analgesic. Actron is indicated for the temporary relief of minor aches and pains associated with the common cold, headache, toothache, muscular aches, backache, minor pain of arthritis, menstrual cramps and for the temporary reduction of fever.
