'Fergie' a hit for Weight Watchers

Weight Watchers International, praising the ad work of Sarah, Duchess of York, said new U.S. memberships have jumped more than 50% from last year. The debut of the TV and radio commercials for the new 1 2 3 Success Plan, featuring the Duchess of York, was delayed after the death last month of Diana, Princess of Wales. Since the commercials featuring the Duchess began airing on Sept. 21, enrollments have surged between 50% and 100%, the company said.
