Fidelity puts stock on Gotham

Published on .

Fidelity Investments, Boston, hired Gotham, New York, to handle advertising for Fidelity Brokerage Services, its retail brokerage business. The account was previously handled in-house and by Fidelity's main agency, Hill Holliday Connors Cosmopulos, Boston. Hill Holliday will continue handling Fidelity's corporate, mutual fund and retirement product advertising. Billings were not disclosed. Fidelity spent approximately $3 million marketing its brokerage in 1998, according to Competitive Media Reports, but that number is expected to increase sharply as the brokerage expands.
