Fila breaks global ads

Fila unveiled its first consolidated global campaign through BDDP/ TBWA, Paris, and Merkley Newman Harty, New York, the two Omnicom Group agencies selected late last year by the Italian sports shoe and apparel marketer. Fila is seeking to relaunch its brand worldwide. The ``Sport life Fila'' advertising will seek to point out that "there is sport in life, but there is not only sport in life,'' said Account Manager Emmanuelle Levaux. The U.S. spots star Fila endorsers Grant Hill, Carla Overbeck and Sammy Sosa. The ads depict the sports stars in action but also make reference to their "human side.''
