said Barnes & Noble and America Online's Greenhouse Networks will use its personalization tools, joining existing partners Yahoo!, Reuters NewMedia and Ziff-Davis. Firefly's tool suite, which includes systems for personalizing Web content, building communities and converting existing content into personalized information, is now available for general use. The tools range from $3,995 for the personalization tool to $24,950 for the tool to convert content.
Barnes & Noble will use Firefly on its upcoming Web site to register consumers and create communities based on reading interests. AOL Greenhouse will incorporate Firefly into the new entertainment networks it's developing.
