Fitch moves into Detroit

Published on .

The non-Chrysler Corp. account group of Omnicom Group's Ross Roy Communications, Bloomfield Hills, Mich., is linking up with Fitch Inc., Columbus, Ohio. Terms weren't disclosed. Fitch will open a Detroit office and hire 12 people from the group, which had estimated annual billings of $50 million when Ross Roy resigned the accounts in August to focus on Chrysler.

The former Ross Roy group has kept two accounts. Janet Muhlrman, the Ross Roy exec VP who headed the group, was named a Fitch VP and general manager of the new office.
