Ford to consolidate $100m+ account across Argentina, Brazil

Published on .

BUENOS AIRES -- Ford is looking to consol- idate its ad account across both Argentina and Brazil, creating an estimated $109 million assignment to be handled by one agency.

The U.S.-based car giant has asked incum- bent agencies J. Walter Thompson and Young & Rubicam to present credentials in a contest for the account, which is likely to see investments of $89 million in Brazil and $20 million in Argentina, according to Nielsen.

JWT has held the Ford account in Argentina for the past 50 years, last competing for the business in 1987. Y&R handles Ford's Brazilian account.
