Ford enlists direct mail for '96 Taurus

Ford Motor Co. next week begins a direct mail campaign that invites owners of competitive Toyota Camrys and Honda Accords to lease a 1996 Ford Taurus and return the car if they don't like it after six months, Automotive News reported. Also, as part of Ford's strategy to keep Taurus the best selling car, Chairman Alex Trotman and 50 company executives are barnstorming 150 U.S. cities to help launch the 1996 Ford Taurus and Mercury Sable this month.
