Ford Motor Co. heard pitches Jan. 6 from three agencies for its newly consolidated North American Fleet Operations account. Contenders for the estimated $2 million assignment are Ogilvy & Mather, Dearborn, Mich.; J. Walter Thompson USA and Y&R Advertising, both Detroit. The account is primarily business-to-business. Before Ford merged its vehicle fleet business, JWT
had Ford division's fleet account, Y&R had Lincoln-Mercury and O&M had Ford service.
