Ford heir to succeed Trotman as chairman

Ford Motor Co. announced Chairman Alex Trotman, 65, will retire Jan. 1, a year earlier than previously anticipated, Automotive News reports. William Ford Jr., 41, the great-grandson of company founder Henry Ford and now a board member, has been elected chairman. Jac Nasser, 51, was named president-CEO from president of Ford Automotive Operations.
