Ford plans Web car giveaway

Ford Motor Co.'s Lincoln-Mercury is planning what is believed to be the first car giveaway promotion on the World Wide Web in conjunction with the introduction of the redesigned Mercury Sable late this month. The promotion will involve the Web home pages of about 15 magazines including Time, said Dale Jones, marketing communications manager for Lincoln-Mercury.
