Ford Motor Co., Dearborn, Mich., inked a deal to advertise its stable of vehicle brands on ReplayTV's personal TV service. The auto marketer's first ads on the free, on-demand ReplayTV Service start in November. Terms of the contract weren't disclosed. The Mountain Valley, Calif.-based service lets viewers pick the programming they want to see whenever they want. Ford's advertising options with ReplayTV include banner ads on the MyReplayTV Web portal and title sponsorship of ReplayZone, which lists categories of TV programs to help viewers find and record programming. Ford said the deal will help it understand the new TV viewing technology and improve marketing to consumers, and added it offers unique targeting capabilities.
