Forrester says users won't pay

According to a new report from Forrester Research, very few online users will pay for content. Based on a survey of 52 content sites generating revenue through subscriptions, registrations or data-driven promotions, Forrester found that online subscriptions will account for $36 million, only 3.6% of total online advertising revenue, this year. Business and finance sites will draw at least 80% of these subscription fees, the report found.
